Built intuitively through layers of colour, translucent marks and organic forms, the painting developed without a predetermined image or composition.

Warm tones move across the surface alongside softer, cooler areas, creating a sense of something emerging, shifting and settling into place. The work is part of my ongoing exploration of inner landscapes, where colour and gesture become a way of expressing emotions that are difficult to put into words.

Despite its large scale, Held by Light carries a sense of softness and calm. It invites the viewer to slow down, look closer and find their own meaning within its abstract forms.
