✨Where I Begin✨

Sometimes I only understand where the colours came from afterwards.

Burnt orange. Earthy reds. Deep greens. Golden light.

Earlier this year, I travelled to Uganda to celebrate my 50th birthday. Looking at Where I Begin now, I find myself back there. On red dirt roads, beneath dense green canopies, surrounded by colours I apparently never quite left behind.

I didn’t paint Uganda.

But perhaps some places stay with us in colour. ✨
